Here, at therapy for kids children with neuromotor as well as sensory processing dysfunctions receive therapy based on their functional abilities with focus on enhancing their participation in the society.
These children present to us with variety of diagnosis :
- Cerebral palsy
- Autism , sensory processing disorder
- Developmental delay
- Seizure disorder
- Congenital disorders, Learning difficulties
We continually strive to educate ourselves on current research and best practice techniques through attending workshops and seminars offered by the most respected clinicians in our fields.
We have licensed & certified pediatric specialists in Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, equipped with knowledge of NDT & Sensory integration & play therapy.
We provide innovative techniques that include, but are not limited to:
- Sensory processing interventions:
Sensory integration therapy aims to help kids with sensory processing issues (which some people may refer to as “sensory integration disorder”) by exposing them to sensory stimulation in a structured, repetitive way. In traditional SI therapy, the OT exposes a child to sensory stimulation through repetitive activities.
- Neurodevelopmental Treatment (NDT) :
Neurodevelopmental treatment (NDT) is a hands-on treatment approach used by physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists. NDT was developed to enhance the function of adults and children who have difficulty controlling movement as a result of neurological challenges, such as cerebral palsy, stroke, and head injury.
- Brain Gym
- Handwriting interventions :
Involves analysis of fine motor control, visual spatial awareness of the child, required sensory processing skills upon which build fun filled activities &. Movements with proper remediation.
- Myofascial Release :
Is a safe and very effective hands-on technique that involves applying gentle sustained pressure into the Myofascial connective tissue restrictions to eliminate pain and restore motion.
